Waste Water Treatment (WWT), The Liquid waste has to go through some process
in Waste Water Treatment Unit before it can be released back in to the river.
There are two system applied to process liquid waste in PT. Indah Kiat Pulp & Paper Serang Mill.

Function description :
Before transferred into Equalization tank, water is separated from dirt such as,
plastic string and timber fragments.

Buffer Tank

Function description :
Mixing raw waste water from each source to get a homogeneous composition.
To get a best result, the blower is turned on at the bottom of the tank
to help accumulation process before next treatment (chemical treatment).

Primary Clarifier

Function description :
To gravitationally separate filtrates from the flocs
|
Aeration Tank
|
Function description :
The filtrates which still contain organic compound is delivered
into bio treatment (Aeration Tank ) to be processed further with
the help of activated sludge (Bacteria).

Secondary Clarifier
|
Function description :
To gravitationally separate treated waste water (effluent) from the activated sludge.
