The management of Indah Kiat's Serang Mill has a long-standing approach to environmental concerns, with consistent action taken over many years. They have taken action to control industrial waste and pollution, awarded "Blue" Flag for their effort to exceeding the government requirements in this area.

In the year 1995, Indah Kiat's Serang Mill received the ISO 9001 for Quality Management System and, in the year 2004, also received ISO 14001 for Environmental Management System from SGS International Certification Services, Inc. They have maintained these certifications to date and have fared well in all audits conducted by the external auditors.

The management concerns even further than this, and to achieve its environmental vision for the future, Indah Kiat's Serang Mill carry out continuous research and development programs.
